Our Mission
Carolina Crescent Health Plan, Inc., a 501c3 Nonprofit Medicaid Managed Care Organization, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, an academic medical center and teaching hospital. Carolina Crescent Health Plan, Inc. was formed for the sole purpose of effectively coordinating and improving the health care of Medicaid enrolled persons in South Carolina. We are committed to providing quality care to our members through member focused medical management and health education programs. Our team is also committed to help providers succeed in the effort to improve the health status of their patients. To achieve these commitments and to most effectively serve the Medicaid population, Carolina Crescent Health Plan, Inc. operations are headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina.
